This striking sculpture is located just outside the railway station of Domodossola. It was created by Mattia Bosco and has the title "Il Mio Giogo È Soave E Il Suo Carico Leggero" ("My yoke is easy and his load is light").
The Alpine Brown cow is a symbol for the mountains and alpine agriculture in the Ossola valley, the slates stand for the granite quarries and the long tradition of stone working.
The sculpture was the winner in an international competition in 2008.
