EN: The letters BLS stand for Bern-Lötschberg-Simplon-Bahn, the operator of the railway line, which leads from Bern to the south through the Valais and on to Italy.
The letters are next to the tracks northwest of Brig. They are about five meters high and can be seen from many parts of the town district Glis.
The letters can not be accessed; the nearest point is at a factory on the road that leads along the north bank of the Rhone.
DE: Die Buchstaben BLS stehen für Bern-Lötschberg-Simplon-Bahn, die Betreiberin der Eisenbahnlinie, die von Bern noch Süden durch das Wallis und weiter nach Italien führt.
Die Buchstaben befinden sich neben den Gleisen nordwestlich von Brig. Sie sind etwa fünf Meter hoch und können von grossen Teilen des Stadtbezirks Glis gesehen werden.
Die Buchstaben selbst können nicht erreicht werden; der nächste Punkt ist bei einer Fabrik an Strasse die am Nordufer der Rhone entlang führt.
