La chapelle Saint-Hubert fut édifiée et sculptée entre 1491 et 1496 par des artistes flamands dans le pur goût gothique flamboyant en pierre et craie de Touraine (Tuffeau) sur ordre de Charles VIII, avant que celui-ci ne découvre l'architecture italienne. La chapelle sert ensuite d'oratoire à Anne de Bretagne, avant de devenir la dernière demeure présumée du corps de Léonard de Vinci, mort à Amboise en 1519.
Le linteau de la porte d'entrée représente la chasse de Saint-Hubert.
St. Hubert chapel was built and carved between 1491 and 1496 by Flemish artists in pure Gothic taste of stone and chalk Touraine ( tufa ) on the orders of Charles VIII , before it discovers Italian architecture . The chapel then used oratory to Anne of Brittany, before becoming the final resting presumed body of Leonardo da Vinci , who died at Amboise in 1519 .
The lintel of the front door is hunting Saint-Hubert .
