The cityhall was built in 1863 in neo-gothic style. In 1904/05, the building was renovated by Gustav Messmann.

The Rathaus Lage occupies, actually, 5 different buildings... this waymark refers to Rathaus I. This is the main building, the other ones are the site of different offices that work together with the cityhall.

Das Baujahr des Rathauses 1 in Lage sind die Jahre 1863 bis 1865. 1904 / 1905 wurde es durch Gustav Meßmann zu dem heute bekannten Bild umgebaut. Es wurde aufgestockt und der Dachstuhl wurde ausgebaut. Weiterhin bekam das Rathaus eine Uhr.
