Pavel Pachner with his wife Ida lived in Havlickuv Brod until the beginning of of World War II. He was a prominent businessman during first half of the twentieth century. He ran a liquor store and wine in his house at Dolni street, a pharmacy "U cerného psa (At the black dog)" a photography shop and a gas station.
He and his wife were deported at first to Terezin in 1942. In the same year they were deported to Sobibor where they were murdered.
