The Walther monument in Bolzano was created in 1889 by Heinrich Natter and is dedicated to Walther von der Vogelweide. It is located on the central Walther-of-the-Vogelweide-Platz (usually abbreviated Waltherplatz). Walther is made in marble and shows him standing on a coloumn on a fountain, which serves as a base. There are also two lions on the fountain. Walther is holding a lute, a lute is also located on a coat under his feet. He has a medieval hat on his head and he is wearing a cape. He is depicted life-size and the the entire monument is about 6 meters high.
