This trail register just off the parking lot by the nature center is for Little Loop, which is a feeder trail to several longer loops in this part of Groton Lake State Park and Groton State Forest.

In Groton, within Groton Lake State Park, is this trail register at the trailhead to Little Loop.
The register is located a little ways in from the trailhead at the far end of the parking lot from the Groton Lake Nature Center, which is off the main access road from Vermont Route 232.
The register is just into the woods and is at a fork in the path. It is recommended that either a printed or a digital version of the map is taken with you. The loop itself is little more than a mile long. However, there are some intersections, and a map would be helpful in sorting out which trail to take from there. One of the trails - the one I took - was to the Peacham Bog Loop, which is a 5 mile total walk over a ridge, then on a boardwalk through a blue spruce bog.
