Donated to the city of Deventer by the Rotary Club Deventer at her 75th anniversary (1933 - 2008).
Since 2008 Rotaryclub Deventer has been acquiring resources and executing a project enabling blind and visually impaired people to get an idea about the city layout. Additionally the project provides better understanding of the Deventer history for tourists and fellow inhabitants.
When the Rotary Club Devemter had its 75 anniversary in 2008, this 2500kg weighing plaque was donated to the city and placed between 'De Waag' and the '3 Haringen'. Benches were placed around it. The concept is quite successful as many city tours start here because it is easy to explain the structure of the city.
The plaque was donated to the city on 29-March-2009.
