The Great West Organ was built in 1993 to replace the 1875 organ which was rebuilt and enlarged several times . The new organ was the largest mechanical instrument to be installed since the Concert Hall organ in 1974. The organ has 3446 pipes and 60 Trompette en chamade (horizontal trumpets ).
