In the spring 1945 at the Victory Square was errected Red Army Soldiers monument. In 1962 the city authorities decided to change monument. Currently it is dedicated polish soldiers. Monument is designed by Krystyna Trzeciak. Unveling of the Polish Soldiers Monument took place in 1st September 1962.
