Der Stein 201 ist einer der 252 ab 1735 aufgestellten Grenzsteinen auf der Grenze vom Kursachsen und Hannover,
dem anhaltende Grenzstreitigkeiten voraus gegangen waren und mit dieser Maßnahme ihr Ende fanden.
Auf hannoverscher Seite prangt ein Pferd, auf der anderen ein tänzelnder Löwe mit einem aufrechten,
einem Fragezeichen nicht unähnlichen, Löwenschwanz. Noch heute ist dass Wappentier in Niedersachsen ein Pferd.

English abstract:
The stone is one of the 252 landmarks on the border of Saxony and Hanover established in 1735.
On the Hanoverian side flaunts a horse , on the other a prancing lion with an upright, like a question mark, lion's tail.
Even today, the heraldic animal of Niedersachsen is a a horse.
