The Kinderdijk-Elshout mill area consist of a system of waterways, catch-water basins and windmills that jointly drain the Alblasserwaard into the river Lek.
It's a world famous example of a Dutch polder below the seawaterlevel and nearby river.
When visiting this waymark you can read more about the area and the watersystems at the information bord(at the given coordinates). Try to post a picture of yourself with one of the 19 mills in your log. There is a visitors centre nearby and also one of the windmills is open to the public for €3,- everyday between 9.30 and 17.30 in the summer months (check the website for more details).
