The old pump is located within a chained area in front of the perfumery. Although we weren't able to check to see if the pump still operates since it's within a chained area, we do not believe it is working.

The well was also known as Vikur well (after the farmers who lived there) and after the print house Prentsmiðjupósturinn (printers-post).
