This Hall of Fame is dedicated to the motorsports enthusiasts who made motorsports happen in the Maritimes through the years. In the Hall of Fame is a wall of fame which displays all the inductees to the Hall to date, noting their histories and accomplishments in the world of motorsports. Included are trophies won in various venues and many items of memorabilia donated to the hall by the participants or their families.
The museum is an absolute gearhead's dream location - it contains several GO-FAST vehicles, such as stock cars, dragsters, tractor pull tractors, even the one time Guinness World Record holder for fastest trip around the world (it took 77 days and was featured on the cover of the 1983 edition).
To complement the fast cars, they have in the collection an eclectic array of vintage cars, such as a '56 Ford Crown Victoria, the LAST Checker Cab to come out of the factory, A '36 Chevy pickup rod (in purple), a '47 Ford Four Door, a '36 Pontiac Silver Streak, a 1916 McLaughlin - you get the idea.
Then there's the memorabilia - much information about the people who were involved with all aspects of racing in the Maritimes through the years. Then, as a bonus, they have a large collection of car related artefacts, from beautifully restored gas pumps all the way down to oil cans and service station geegaws and gizmos.
If you're a gearhead, plan on whiling away half a day here, just gawking and reading, all the while recalling snippets of your own automotive history...
