Synagogue in Holešov belongs to the most important monuments not only in Holešov, but also in the entire Czech Republic, it is the only remaining Renaissance synagogue of the Polish type in the country.

"V Holešove byla židovská obec (ghetto) již v 15. století. Židovská obec si vybudovala také puvodní drevenou synagogu, ale ta pri požáru v roce 1560 shorela. Proto si hned potom vybudovala synagogu novou, která stojí dodnes. Tato renesancní budova se v jádre dochovala do dnešní doby, i když byla v roce 1615 upravena a rozšírena prístavbou predsíne a výtvarne sjednocena vnitrními úpravami r. 1737."

The Jewish community (ghetto) is recorded in the 15th century. The Jewish community built the original wooden synagogue, but that in a fire in 1560 burned. Therefore, immediately afterwards was built a new synagogue that still stands. This Renaissance building survived until today, even though it was in 1615 adapted and expanded annex hallway and artistically unified internal modifications r. 1737.
