The Fort Zoutman Historical Museum is a great place to find out more about Aruba's past history. Not only because it is a museum, but also because it is part of their history by being the oldest building on the island too!

The museum is open from 8:30 to 4 PM Monday to Friday. They have guided tours, and open weekends to groups by special request only.
They have several places to explore and view in the fort itself.
The tour guides (who speak multiple languages) will also give you a wealth of information on the history of the island.
There is a gift shop for you to purchase some hand made items as well.
No food available, except for Tuesday evenings when they hold the Bon Bini Festival in the courtyard. There is a small fee for entrance ($5.00) and the food and drinks are extra. They have musicians playing steel drums and other instruments and local music. They also have dancers come and dance some of the local dances from their heritage.
There is parking on the side streets around the forts location, there are no parking meters, but be careful to park in areas that are not marked as private property.
Entrance fee is $5.00 (US dollars) for adults and $2.00 for children.
