The mill was known as the Lake Flour Mill, possibly because it is in Lake County. The old and faded sign on the mill states that it produced and sold flour, feed and cereals. Odds are that it was powered, at least initially, by a stationary gasoline engine.
This was, when in operation years ago, a combination elevator/flour mill, or, better stated, an elevator with a flour mill attached. The elevator was almost certainly used as a shipping point, as it is on a railway siding. Date of construction? Probably the teens or twenties.
