This lock is the first lock that must be passed through when traversing the Oswego River on the Barge Canal. It is a very active lock and sees lots of traffic during the summer months, then shuts down in late fall until late spring. There is a nice view of the city from this vantage point and lots of places to park and walk as there is also several walking paths along the canal throughout the city.
