De toren en het kerkgebouw aan de Dorpsweg te IJsselmuiden zijn vermoedelijk gelijktijdig omstreeks 1200 gebouwd. Het kerkgebouw was oorspronkelijk romaans en kreeg na een verbouwing en vergroting in de vijftiende eeuw zijn huidige gotisch-romaanse aanzien. In 1969 is de kerk gerestaureerd en kreeg het zijn huidige interieur. De kerk heeft thans 944 zitplaatsen. In de Dorpskerk staat een orgel van de orgelbouwer Matthijs Verhofstadt uit het jaar 1716. Dit orgel staat sinds 1885 in de kerk, en heeft daarvoor van 1716 tot 1880 in de Evangelisch Lutherse kerk van Utrecht gestaan.
The tower and the church on the Dorpsweg IJsselmuiden were probably built simultaneously around 1200. The church was originally Romanesque and got its present Gothic-Romanesque appearance after a renovation and expansion in the fifteenth century. In 1969 the church was restored and given its present interior. The church has currently 944 seats. In the church is an organ of the organ builder Matthijs Verhofstadt from the year 1716. This organ is since 1885 in the church, and stood from 1716 to 1880 in the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Utrecht.
