Devon Energy Center - Tallest building in Oklahoma State, topping out at 845 feet. Originally to be 925 feet in height and 54 floors.

"Devon Energy’s headquarters includes a two-acre park on the south side of the building, which is home to more than 100 trees, tranquil fountains and unique landscaping. The center also provides a state-of-the-art, 285-seat Auditorium for employees and a five-story Garden Wing that includes the restaurant, nebu, and coffee shop, Aravalli, with plenty of open seating for employees and the public." "Devon is proud to share its addition to the Oklahoma City skyline with the community. The 50-story tower within the Devon Energy Center serves as the office home to the company’s more than 2,000 employees and contractors, and the ground floor of the building is open to the public.

Devon had a clear vision for this building: While the space would primarily serve as the company's headquarters for its oil and natural gas operations, the building would also be a welcoming place for the community. As a result, the building features two dining options, a coffee shop, a park area and seasonal events for the public to enjoy.

To visit and learn more about the Devon Energy Center, please see the information below and schedule a free tour. Guided tours of the Devon Energy Center are free and consist of a quarter-mile walk around the center and an elevator ride to the top of Devon Tower." Text Source: (visit link)

Facts Oklahoma City
"Oklahoma City is the capital of the state of Oklahoma and is also the state's largest city. It was founded on April 22, 1889. The city grew to 10,000 people almost overnight after the U.S. Government opened up the former Indian Territory to settlers. Over the years, the city grew at an impressive rate thanks to the discovery of oil in the area. As a result the city's skyline grew, including a "race to the top" with the simultaneous construction of First National Center and City Place in the downtown area. More modern skyscrapers like The 360 at Founders Plaza began appearing on the north and west sides of town over the years and eventually in the downtown core. On April 19, 1995, the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building was bombed, killing 168 people and devastating the lives of thousands. In May 1999, the city, known for tornadoes and thunderstorms, had a tornado rated F5 which tore a path of destruction through the southside suburbs of Norman , Moore and Midwest City . Today, the city is a testament to success in civic planning." Text Source" (visit link)
