(fr) Les propriétés réfractaires des argiles sénoniennes des plateaux de la région de Langeais ont été à l’origine de la création de fabriques de briques et de carreaux à Cinq-Mars-La-Pile.
Le travail de l’argile est une activité très ancienne. La pile de Cinq-Mars, construite au IIIè siècle, montre que les gallo-romains fabriquaient des briques. Sur ce site deux premiers fours ont été construits en 1858. La fabrique comprenait un four à brique, un four à carreau et un à poterie. L’usine s’agrandit pour atteindre vers 1950 sept fours. En 1970 l'entreprise a cessé ses activités.

The clay work is an ancient activity. The stack of Cinq-Mars , built in the third century , shows that the Gallo-Roman made ??bricks . On this site first two furnaces were built in 1858. The factory included a brick oven , tile oven and pottery . The plant grows to reach 1950 seven ovens . In 1970 the company ceased operations .
