The Chimney is a towering 315-foot monolith located on the very edge of the Blue Ridge Mountains high above beautiful Hickory Nut Gorge with a soaring elevation of 2,280 feet with 75-mile views.

Beginner climbing with Fox Mountain Guides - For one person is $175 for a half day.
On this day we were visiting the park and were able to view a group of youth that were climbing the Chimney with guidance from an instructor from the Fox Mountain Guides. It was amazing to see how fearlessly they climbed. As a visitor to the park you are able to have an unobstructed view of the climbers as they ascend.
