Kauppi Water Tower - 1928 - Tampere, Finland - Dated Architectural Structures Multifarious on Waymarking.com

In order to accommodate the water requirements of the growing city of Tampere, the city council decided to build a new pumping station and water tower on the hill of the Kauppi forest. The plans were drafted by Vilho Kolho in 1928 and the structure was ready for use by the end of the year.

There is a new water tower just a few meters away from old one. It was built in the 1958.
