Castries is the capital and largest city of Saint Lucia, a country in the Caribbean. It is a city rich in history and culture. From its early status as a refuge for sailors particularly the English and French military, as well as a major port for the exportation of charcoal, the city has grown into ultra-modern centre for business and government. Tourism and retail is now the major commercial activity in the city with an expanded port capable of holding up to 5 large cruise ships simultaneously. (visit link)
