Whenever we come to visit the sunny Hawkes Bay we like to call in to this Fruit and Vege shop and always come away loaded with seasonal bargains. As well as a well-stocked shop, they offer Pick Your Own fruit and vegetables. In summer the Pick Your Own tomatoes are delicious, grown in the hot sunshine and it only takes a few moments to fill your bucket full of the ripe red field tomatoes. Beetroot is also a PYO option. There are other choices of veges to pick, depending on the season.
This summer we picked tomatoes at $1.39 kg. Bring your own containers, a bucket or box will do fine.
