This IH Farmall A type tractor is on display in the retail area of the combined shop and museum at Geysir. It is accompanied by a ram and a polar bear.

The plaque attached to the tractor reads:

Farmall A árgerð 1947
þetta er með fyrstu heimilis dráttarvélum á gúmmi hjólum sem fluttar voru til landsins. Vélin er 18 hestöfl.
Hægt var að fá dráttarvélina með mismunandi útbúnaði t.d. með sláttuvél, plóg og herfi.
Hún létti mörgum bondanum erfið bústörf, gangviss og lipur.

Roughly translated this is:
Farmall A model 1947
this is the first rubber-wheeled home tractor type imported into the country. The engine is 18 horsepower. It could be obtained with different attachments, devices such as a mower, a plow and a rotary cutter. It eased many difficult farming situations running surefooted.

The Farmall A was produced by International Harvester from 1939 to 1947. It has a 113 cu.in. 4 cylinder engine and weighed approximately 1,900 lbs. The A had an offset engine and a wide front end. It had 4 forward and 1 reverse gear. About 117,552 A's were produced, and this is one of the last of the type to be produced.

The shop and museum are open all the year round, in summer it is open from 0900-2200.
