Escale
Used as a local extension of a nightclub. A portion of the interior seems preserved; the original curtains are still present on the berries of the corridor. Two compartments have apparently been converted into dining-room. One end of the car has been modified (wall and gateway). The presence of the trucks could not be verified.
Pictured nightclub is called "The Retro" then changed to "Eden," which is now "L'Escale". The property, leaving Colonge, is on the road to Niort. It is recognizable because it also hosts a Caravelle (not the railcar, but the plane!).
l'Escale
Utilisée comme local annexe d’une boîte de nuit. Une partie de l’intérieur semble préservé ; les rideaux d’origine sont encore présents sur les baies du couloir. Deux compartiments ont apparemment été convertis en salle-à-manger. Une extrémité de la voiture a été modifiée (paroi et porte d’accès). La présence des bogies n’a pas pu être vérifiée.
Sur la photo la boîte de nuit porte le nom de « Le Rétro », changé ensuite par « L’Eden », qui est aujourd’hui « L’Escale ». L’établissement, en quittant Colonge, se trouve sur le route de Niort. Il est reconnaissable car il héberge également une Caravelle (non pas l’autorail, mais l’avion !).
