EN: Rheinfelden was predominantly Catholic until the late 19th century when the industrialization brought many reformed settlers to the area. After a few decades where service was held in small chapels, the growing community, there was a growing need for an own church. The evangelical-reformed church was finally built in 1895 by Joh. Vollmer at the main road outside of the medieval center of town, a undeveloped zone then, but now completely surrounded by residential areas.

The church is a white building with uncolored granite corners and borders, the steeple has a very pointed roof and it appears much smaller than it actually is, when you look at it from the front side.

The church was completely renovated and got a new organ in 1973/74. Also a chancel was added.

In 2011 the church had another modification that corrected some acoustic problems the 1970s changes had caused.

DE: Rheinfelden war überwiegend katholisch, bis die Industrialisierung gegen Ende des 19. Jahrhunderts viele reformierte Zuzüger in das Gebiet brachte. Nach ein paar Jahrzehnten in dem Gottesdienste in kleinen Kapellen stattfanden, gab es in der wachsenden Gemeinschaft einen steigenden Bedarf für eine eigene Kirche. Die evangelische-reformierte Kirche wurde schließlich 1895 von Joh. Vollmer an der Hauptstraße außerhalb des mittelalterlichen Altstadt gebaut, damals eine unbebaute Zone, aber heute vollständig von Wohngebieten umgeben.

Die Kirche ist ein weißes Gebäude mit ungefärbten Granit-Ecken und Bändern, der Turm hat ein sehr spitzes Dach. Die Kirche scheint viel kleiner als sie tatsächlich ist, wenn sie von der Frontseite betrachtet wird.

1973-1974 wurde die Kirche komplett renoviert und bekam eine neue Orgel. Auch ein Chor wurde hinzugefügt. Im Jahr 2011 fanden weitere Modifikationen statt, die einige akustische Probleme korrigierten, die die Änderungen in den 1970er Jahren verursacht hatten.

Neben dem Service in deutscher Sprache gibt es auch einige Angebote in französischer Sprache.
