This cairn is located at the summit of the hiking trail from Turrahus to Vals over Tomülpass. It is located on a small hill about 50 meters from the actual path, this is a popular location for a small break.

The cairn is created by stones from the area, mostly schist or shale. It is about 2 meters high and has a wooden pole through the center.

The trail connects the valleys of Safien and Vals. This is an alpine trail, you need good equipment and weather conditions. The hiking time is about five to six hours (East to west is easier and faster). The summit is on 2412 meters above sea level (Turrahus 1600 meters, Vals 1250 meters).

This trail was created by Polish soldiers, who were interned in Switzerland during World War II. They probably also created the cairn.
