This is a small motor ferry across the Rhine 10 kilometers East of Basel. It connects Kaiseraugst and the German village of Herten from April to October. The ferry is operated by the municipality of Kaiseraugst.
The hours of operation are somehow complicated:
Tuesday, Thursday, Friday (June, July, August): 14.00 - 17.00
Wednesday (April - September): 14.00 - 17.00
Saturday (April - October): 14.00 - 17.00
Sunday and Holidays (April - October): 10.30 - 12.00 / 13.00 - 18.00
No service when there is fog or flood.
