Located near Kruger National Park, this mosaic mural depicts an adult rhinoceros with her baby by her side. While the rhinos are made with mosaic tile, the background jungle scene is painted.
A placard at the site identifies the landscape artist as Thato Sedumedi and the mosaic artists as Johnny Thwala, Jacob Tsotetsi & Karabo Ranta.
The work, apparently in conjunction with Nando's restaurant, is a step to help fight for the preservation of the rhino species...which is endangered by poachers.
