House called Piano - Lanškroun, Czech Republic - Pre-Victorian Historic Homes on Waymarking.com

The valuable Classicist house built between 1781 - 1787, is interesting for its irregular layout, given by the fact that it is built into a part of the moat of the city walls that run next to the Upper Gate, torn down in 1791. In 1828 the building was expanded. The main floor of the south tract towards Hradebni Street dates back from the 1950s. The main frontispiece is finished by a dramatic attic. The original entrance framed by a stone portal is now converted into a window. The first floor of the south frontispiece laid out on five voluted corbels joined by barrel vaulting. The hall on the ground floor is barrel vaulted, other rooms on the ground floor and first floor have flat ceilings.

Hodnotný klasicistní dum, postavený nekdy mezi lety 1781 - 1787, zaujme nepravidelným pudorysem, daným vestavbou do cásti parkánu mestského opevnení, probíhajícího v sousedství Horní brány, zborené r. 1791. R. 1828 byl dum rozširován, patro jižního traktu do ulice Hradební pochází až z padesátých let 20 st. Hlavní prucelí ukoncuje výrazná atika, puvodní vchod, rámovaný kamenným portálem, je dnes premenen v okenní otvor. Patro jižního prucelí je vyloženo na peti tesaných volutových krakorcích, spojených valenými klenbickami. Sín v prízemí je valene klenutá, další místnosti prízemí i prvního patra mají ploché stropy.
