Prison camp at Pacov was established in mid-May 1945, and the last prisoners had left, 10. 8. 1946: The camp was originally planned for 5,000 soldiers, but a total of 45,000 members of the Wehrmacht was finaly interned here. During the existence of the camp there died 284 people, mostly as a result of typhus. Barracks and other facilities of the camp were destroyed soon after its cancellation, preserved is the burial place, where dead prisoners were buried.
