Big Pig, Little Pig is a lava rock formation in Haleakala Crater, Haleakala National Park, on the island of Maui, Hawaii. The formation is at about 8203 feet elevation along the Sliding Sands Trail. To get to this formation, you will have to hike (or join a horseback tour) a couple of miles into, and out of, the crater on steep slopes at high elevation (the parking lot is at 9700 ft.). But it is all worth it for this formation, the cinder cones, Silversword ferns and incredible views.
