Here is the specimen of a manhole that you can see under your feet when you walk on the banks of the Moselle, built by the city.
The Schengen Convention promulgates the opening of borders between the signatory countries for foreigners in the European Union. For European citizens, free movement in the European Union arises under Directive 2004/38 / EC1. The territory thus created is commonly called "Schengen", named after the Luxembourg village of Schengen border tripoint between Germany, Luxembourg (ie Benelux) and France (along the Moselle), which was signed the agreement between the five States concerned at the time on 14 June 1985. If the first Schengen Convention of 1985, the Schengen area has been institutionalized at European level by the Treaty of Amsterdam of 2 October 1997. the Schengen area currently includes 26 member states.
