A nice paddle through some lovely country in the Adirondacks in Northern NY.

This paddle takes you through a couple of nice ponds and narrow rivers and even an ancient canal or two. There will be shallow stretches and probably beaver dams to either ram or climb. You will likely see a fair amount of wildlife on your trip, and certainly will have a nice time on this paddle.

The coordinates will take you to the Jones Pond Campsite and boatlaunch...
Paddling conditions to be expected:
This is a generally flatwater paddle, with some gentle current in the river sections of the trip.
Difficulty of the trip:
This is a pretty easy trip, with 2 exceptions: climbing over beaver-dams can be tippy, and the narrow stretches can be tricky for paddlers inexperienced with steering boats.
Length of trip: 4 miles - 2 hours
Portages:
You can launch and get out essentially from the water, but may have to carry your boat over a couple of beaver-dams
Permits required:
nopermits are required for boating or for camping at the primitive campsites...fishing permits are needed
