Colin Maclean Taylor was born in St. Louis, Missouri on December 10th, 1886.

He was drafted into the US Army. He participated in World War I and rose to the rank of Sargent.
Some significant events that occurred during his lifetime include the invention of basketball, the invention of the Ford Model T, World War I, the Spanish Flue Pandemic, Prohibition, the Great Depression, the construction of the Empire State Building, World War II, the invention of nuclear weapons, the Korean War, the Cold War, the assassination of two Presidents, the Vietnam War, first spaceflight, first man on the moon, and man other events.
Colin Taylor passed away on October 10th, 1988 in Newcastle, Maine. He is buried at the Maine Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Augusta, Maine.
