Many change and renovations have involved the hotel Giotto, which is today, despite its age of over a hundred years, a modern four stars hotel. The main building was converted from a 1700’s old house belonged to a well-known notary of Assisi. Much older are the walls of the restaurant, which were obtained from an ancient granary in 1400’s. The hotel boasts 114 years of uninterrupted activity (think that it became a hotel in 1899), and was among the first hotels to exercise the tourist activity in Umbria.

The hotel Giotto nowadays, has 77 rooms of various types, and have been totally renovated. The first major renovation in 2009, led us to the creation of the rooms Deluxe and Charme superior and the wonderful Suites Donna Beatrice and Don Giovanni, boasting a magnificent terrace, on which you can admire the beautiful scenery of the Umbrian valley. Date back to the year 2010 the creation of the types Charming Superior, Suite and the beautiful Donna Beatrice and Don Giovanni, boasting a magnificent terrace, on which you can admire the amazing scenery of the Umbrian valley. The 2011 was responsible for the birth of our beautiful jewel: the “ISHTAR SPA CLUB”. Our comfortable Spa, albeit can host a maximum of 8 people, is equipped with a turkish bath with chromo therapy, Finnish sauna with a relaxing lighting program, vertical Kneipp, emotional showers and cold breeze, indoor swimming pool with 12 multi-function massage jets, water curtains and geysers and a relaxing area with herbal teas. The latest works (March 2013), led to the creation of new rooms: Suite, Junior Suite and Charme, much appreciated by clients who have stayed there.
