An inscription on the stone next to the tree says that this tree is 908 years old. The stone is from the 80ties.
When measured in the 80s was a tree trunk circumference of 5 meters measured and the tree crown had a circumference of 15 meters.
But the tree is beautiful also of his stature. The trunk is beautifully ornate. Many tourists visit the actually the Pont du Gard, make a picture of himself and the tree.
Certainly, this tree has been immortalized in many photo albums.
