The Bermuda Garrison was a part of the the regular British Army in Bermuda. Their primary mission was to defend the Royal Naval Dockyard in Sandys Parish, Bermuda. Soon after the start of World War I the soldiers of the Bermuda Garrison were deployed to England where they became part of the Canadian Expeditionary Force.

A monument honoring the memory of the soldiers from Bermuda who died while serving with the Bermuda Garrison Artillery during World Wat I is located in King's Square, St. George, Bermuda,

A 10' high stone monument is flanked by two cannons. The side facing away from King's Square contains a sword in the shape of a cross. The side facing the King's Square has the bronze emblem of the Royal Canadian Artillery which has has the motto:

DUO FAS ET GLORIA DUCUNT
(Where Right and Glory Lead)

A bronze plaque in the center of the monument is inscribed:
