This row of wooden beach huts on Sword Beach are a display of tranquility that was not present on this beach in 1944 during fierce WWII battles that occured here. Just a few feet away is the Kieffer Monument to the battles that took place here, and to those who lost their lives doing so. Now this quiet beach town offers lazy walks on the beach (after using the beach hut to change clothes, of course).
