The Canadian Pacific Railway constructed this concrete box culvert on the Prescott subdivision in 1908. The culvert is one mile north of Hands Road. The CPR Domville flag station was once located at Hands Road. If the waymarker begins the journey at Hands Road, there are many geocaches to visit en route.

The Bytown and Prescott Railway (which would eventually become the CPR Prescott sub) was the first railroad to serve Ottawa. The first train carried by the railway was in 1854. In 1995, the final train crossed this culvert.

Back in the day, the culvert would be described as being located at milepost 45.1 on the Prescott sub.
