Located on a retaining wall on the south side of the Truckee River and near the SW corner of Central Street Bridge is a river gauge with granite or marble plaques engraved with elevation levels. It caught my eye as we were walking across the bridge.
RIVER GAUGE INFORMATION:
The bottom elevation number reads '4479' and the highest elevation number reads '4486'.
