Theater vis-à-vis was founded in 1987 in a former wine cellar in the old town of Bern. They are an outpost of Berner Puppen Theater, that is located just opposite the street in another former wine cellar, thus the name Vis-à-vis.
Other than the parent theater that focuses more of marionette theater for children, the target audience of Vis-à-vis are young adults.
