Nestled in the Scottish Highlands is the famous Loch Ness. Flowing into Loch Ness at Fort Augustus is the Caledonian Canal, which is served by the Fort Augustus Locks.

The Caledonian Canal connects the east coast of Scotland with the west coast. Several scenic lochs lie in between these two coasts, and are connected by the Caledonian Canal. Fort Augustus is the home of Loch Ness, and Loch Ness is the home of one of Scotland’s most infamous characters, “Nessie” the Loch Ness Monster.
