Im Jahr 2000 wurde auf der Nordseite des Oldenburger Bahnhofs der Zentrale Omnibus Bahnhof (ZOB) eröffnet, über welchen der innerstädtische und regionale Busverkehr abgewickelt wird. Auch verkehren von hier aus Fernbuslinien, z.B. zum Flughafen Bremen, nach Berlin oder Groningen.
Zur Erschließung des ZOB wurde eine neue Straßenunterführung unter den Gleisen gebaut sowie ein neuer Eingangsbereich auf der Nordseite des Bahnhofes geschaffen.
In the year 2000, the Central Bus Station (ZOB) which is used for inner-city and regional bus traffic was opened on the north side of Oldenburg's train station. Long-distance bus lines also run from here, e.g. to Bremen Airport, Berlin or Groningen.
To provide access to the ZOB, a new road underpass was built under the tracks and a new entrance area was created on the north side of the station.
