This lake is near the Mississippi River. Water flows through the sand, so the level rises and falls with the river. The sand-filtered water has 1-3 feet of visibility, depending on the time of year. I've even done some snorkeling here.
Coordinates are for the parking location closest to the swimming hole. Walk around the south end of the lake and out onto the point. Two to four feet of water seperates you from the island.
After dark, swim suits are optional, and the skeeters are "terrorable".
