The Chandler-Ocotillo Water Reclamation Facility was built in 1985, one of the largest in Arizona at that time. It has undergone a number of renovations, improvements, and innovations since, and in 2010 and 2011 was named the Wastewater Treatment Plant of the Year by AZ Water.

It is owned by the City of Chandler and operated by Severn Trent Services. The Intel corporation, which has several campuses in Chandler with a strong interest in reclaimed water because of their need for it in their cooling towers, has helped the city develop some of the innovative techniques in development at the plant, particularly reverse osmosis.

The facility is accredited by the American Public Works Association, and its recycled water is graded A+. In addition to Chandler, the facility provides water to the Gila Indian Reservation to Chandler's south and west.

Coordinates are for the gate to the front office (3333 S Old Price Road). The actual facility is to the south (3737 S Old Price Road, not signed) and can partly be viewed from the road, but not entered.

Please post at least 2 original photographs of the site. We would much rather see photos of the plant itself as opposed to the front office, but we also understand that security and site layout may limit your opportunities.
