Beside this position, the 20th June 1944, during WW2, a American Liberator plane crashed, on it's way back from Germany. Out of the crew consisting of 10 men, 2 were killed, sergeant Robert Kellerman, North Carolina, USA och sergeant A. Deck Glenn, USA. The rest of the 8 men, saved themselves by using their parachutes. Annual memorials are taking place at this spot.
Below the memory stone, there are old remains from the plane wreckage.
