Hier befindet sich der Ort, an dem das Abwasser der Stadt Dessau-Rosslau seit 1987 gesammelt und geklärt wird. Das Areal wurde vom Juli 1995 bis September 1998 modernisiert und klimafreundlich ausgebaut.

So werden beispielsweise keine Chemikalien für die Klärung verwendet. Zum Einsatz kommen hier spezielle Bakterienstämme, die das Wasser in mehreren Straßen behandeln

Anfallender Schlamm wird extra gesammelt und in Biomassetanks aufgearbeitet. Das gesammelte Methan wird für den Betrieb des BHKW genutzt.
